A Sweet Surprise

On my Easter visit to Cincinnati, my mom, dad and I happened upon a cupcake place called "A Sweet Life." It's always a good day when you just come upon cupcakes, but the store set up was weird. Most of the shop was a store for handmade crafts (most tacky, some not). But there was one display case for cupcakes. We decided to give it a try. We got the chocolate mint- I liked the green color of the icing and the Andes mint on top. I think we were all surprised by how fresh and flavorful it was. I'm pretty sure the cake originated from a mix (maybe it was doctored up), but it was the most moist cake I've had in awhile. My parents, our guest taste tasters, were also pleased and gave it a 4 1/2 on the sprinkle scale. I'm glad we tried the place- you can't judge a book by it's cover and you can't judge a cupcake by the shop it comes from.
